I’m Ryan. I teach Storytelling Techniques. I have for two years now, ever since I arrived in Singapore from the US. I’ve lived all over the world, most recently in Washington DC, and first visited Singapore on a giant Japanese cruise ship. My favourite thing to do in Singapore is go to a Sunday concert at the Botanical Gardens, but satay at Villa Bali is a close second.

REPLY TO COMMENT ON MISCONCEPTION OF FREEDOM
Well, if you really look at it in the most simplest manner, atleast this is what i feel. Both male and female is important. It is just human beings that complicate everything. Even though, a woman may bear a child. Without the help of a man, it is quite impossible. Thats the beauty of creation. Man and woman cant EXIST without each other. Its best to accept the differences
Paganism talks about it beautifully. Atleast the original form of paganism. It describes the existance of male and female very nicely.
Im glad you actually talk to me about this. I get to learn from different viewpoints. Thanks alot

ABOUT CHINA PEOPLE AND OBSESSION WITH MONEY
Well its a pity i typed a reply and that disappeared. I despise computers sometimes. Anyways let me talk to you about it
I love observing different cultures and what is most distinct about each culture.
Chinese culture is often stereotyped that they are greedy for money
And when you want to look at a concept, it is best to reflect on the history and culture. If you look into history of China, you would realise China poeple had to go through alot of suffering and famines. And they were taught in their culture, to work hard and earn more money to live a happy and comfortable life. This has been drilled through their culture, that is why till today we find them having desires for more materialistic things in life.
we also find that they save money as they always have a fear that this would leave them or they may run out of money. This is also found among Singaporeans. It is called Kiasuism. It seems they also had a fear that family names would disappear over years. Therefore, to preserve their family names, they used to have more babies. And that is the result of over population in China today!
Sometimes we wonder why a certain culture behave in a certain way. It is usually very related to their ancestors. But again, it would be wrong for me to say ALL chinese are obsessed with money.
There is always an exception and we must accept that. We cannot judge a group too quickly.
I always admire the hardworking chinese. But again, that is too quick of a judgement
If u look at harvard business review, there is an article on China people. That they are not motivated by money anymore but spiritualism. Sometimes, businesses feel chinese people are motivated by money. But i guess that is wrong now.
I hope i answered your question Mr, Ryan. Enjoy observing people. It teaches you alot. Better knowledge than the ones Ministery of Education drills on us

You just made me want to read up about feminism. I shall start researching on that. Researching and exploring had been my main hobby when i was away from school for few years. It kept my mind active. I dont know, but i feel that you learn knowledge outside than in a school. And now im curious about this topic.
