If Ever a Post has Called Out for Disagreements….

Salihin has decided on the best movies ever made. They’re all in English, and they’re all in color. Surely somebody will have a different opinion.

Oh man! Are you going to disagree on all my choices?

    Aaand, English you mean? Haha.

Poor kid is only stating what he likes.. hmm i shall disagree, i really enjoy watching black and white “ENGLISH” films. Shadow of a doubt is one black and white film. My dad has a huge collection of classics. I love old films because there is less action it is MORE DOWN TO EARTH. And its more remembered for its artistic qualities. I love films in the 80’s as well. The music, the colors they used, their dialouges all added a special meaning to the story. And you can go on intrepreting it. To me , i feel that films should not be solely for entertainment. It should make you think. Salihin’s list were all mainstream movies. I have nothing against them. Its just what you like. Nowdays films run on a few bad words, lots of flying and action, some naked women and you really wonder what was the movie about at the end of it :D

The Shining is from the 80s.

Yeah, I grew up on this type of films which is why I wrote my top ten film. Not the top ten film of all time.

@Shanu>> I like naked women and a few bad words 8DDDDD The rest is just overrated XD

  5. genieshanu Says:

Yeap Salihin. I dont like nowdays movies cos i grew up watching 80’s. Thats what they put on tv anyways :D . I like some scenes from the shining as well. Its well done.

Diana…loool you and naked men and women. I feel extremely uncomfy watching any english film with my dad. Cos i dunno when they might kiss or do smtg. lol. Me and my sisters would usually hold our private viewings to test whether its safe to watch as a family. Sometimes my mom pops by, looks at the screen and say “They are gonna kiss in about 5 sec”. And truly enough they do…i hope u dun mind my mom. lol she is from india anyways :D She even holds a misconception on white people, she tells me “do go near a white man, he might kiss you.”

At other times, we switch to other channels until they are done. We still wonder if sex scenes are reallllllyyyyy imporant in certain movies. We really get the idea they are doing it…….

sorry, i haf to redit what i said….
my mom said, “DONT go near a white man, he might kiss you!”
if i were to leave what i wrote as it is, i might look like a desperado…shame on my typo errors

And just the other time, i had the guy on guy action wall[paper on my mac. My dad just passed by and backtrack before staring at my mac and asked “Gao she me gui ah?’ Literal translation => what the hell are you doing??

Usually he doesn’t bother xD My mom just totally gave up on my hopeless obsession with 2 beautiful men and their actions 8DDDD

haha, nothing’s new to my family. Abortions, whoring oneself etc. My whole life is one hell of a chinese drama 8DDD Thank god i’m the sane one in the family /o/

this conflict between ryan and salihin made me write alot for my reflection for this week!! HeeHee..

  10. Sally' Says:

    What conflict rose?

And by the way, genieshanu, A Clockwork Orange is from the 70s but I’m guessing too much naked women in that too?

  11. genieshanu Says:

Clockword orange is nice, i like the idea myself

  12. Sally' Says:

Hey Ryan, have you watched No Country for Old Men? I think you gotta.

Besides, the antagonist fits the bill ‘he-just-is’. Haha.
